FIVE DAYS IN TROPICAL PARADISE - MALDIVES

Phew, okay so, now I got some time to breath, finally! Been practically living on airports and airplanes. Currently at one, waiting to soon grab some lunch.

The Maldives - tropical paradise in the Pacific Ocean

Just earlier today I arrived home from the Maldives, now shivering from the cold and the tiredness. I've never been to the Maldives before, and to be honest, I didn't even expect much difference from Thailand or Malaysia. But as it turns out, it's so much different! We stayed at the Baros resort, which was located on an island you could walk through in ten minutes or less - crazy. The ocean around it was AMAZING! I've never seen something so beautiful; the corals, the fish, the turtles, the dolphins, the sting rays and the sharks... Freaking unbelievable. The sea was turquoise, see-through all the way and always the right temperature.
I learned about the corals, how they're built and how we could save them from being destroyed. All and all a giving trip.

After all, the way there was long and trying. Approximately twelve hours in either airplanes or airports. Spent a few hours in Doha as well before catching the plane to Male. But I don't complain, though. I'm so thankful for the opportunity to travel to the other side of the planet, to the magical Islands of the Maldives.

Some things you should definitely not miss doing in the Maldives:
  • snorkel - in the right places with a great guidance
  • watching the incredible sunset & possibly see the spinner-dolphins - the most beautiful sunset you'll ever going to see
  • eat local food - I doubt there's anything so fresh and tasty
  • enjoy the warmth - if you're from a cold county like me, this will be well needed

You'll definitely need these things:
  • Sunglasses - great ones, because the sun is really strong haha!
  • Great sunscreen and preferably some Aloe Vera gel for sunburns, if you're like me who burns in ten minutes (which actually happened the first day - don't be me)
  • Hairties a lot - because while swimming and sunbathing this is really important for you not to faint (like my friend - don't be her)
  • wanderlust - once in a lifetime experience, don't miss it!

Fave spot.

Talk to you soon!
